Rock and Pop Guitar Exams

Interested in some formal guitar qualifications? No problem, our tutors can advance you and your guitar playing by helping you conquer those dreaded exams. We’ll help you work through and master the various pieces, improvisation, ear training and musical aptitude exercises required. You can choose between the Rockschool or the Trinity Rock and Pop Board Syllabuses to accomplish this with and we’ll help you find the best level to start at, whether that be the Initial Grade, all the way up to Grade 8 or anywhere in between.

Bespoke Lesson Plans

Our guitar lessons are custom-designed, if you will, to best fit the individual student, their interests, requirements and experience, and are based in our Liverpool city centre location. This could be aiming towards a specific goal, such as getting to grips with a certain piece or technique, or it could be on more generalised topics such as an instrumental introduction, or playing style exploration. Our guitar tutors will always seek to work with you to establish the best approaches for individual lessons.

Children’s Guitar Lessons

At Prelude, we are able to cater to all ages and abilities. We offer guitar lessons for children, aged 7 and above, and can help them learn all about music and the guitar through enjoyable, practical lessons. All of our guitar tutors have an enhanced DBS check and experience teaching children. We can help them with their music education in line with their school curriculum, such as GCSE exam and coursework prep, or just help them to enjoy and thrive with a truly rewarding hobby.
